<p>Reporting jointly to HFHI’s Director of Principal Gifts and the local affiliate representative, the Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for developing a strategy and the portfolio required to identify, close and retain mid-six figure relationships with individuals, and for meeting a multi-million dollar annual revenue goal.</p>
<p>Primary Responsibilities Include:</p>
<p>1. Establishing a strategic and systematic focus on closing six-figure commitments from high net-worth individuals<br />
2. Identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding qualified prospects and donors, managing a portfolio of approximately 100 qualified relationships in a defined territory<br />
3. Meeting or exceeding multi-million dollar annual revenue goals<br />
4. Strategically engaging Board members and senior leaders in the development process</td>

2. 5+ years of front-line experience in leadership gifts development in a large, nationwide setting, preferably as part of a nationally deployed team<br />
3. Demonstrated track record of successful fundraising in an environment of similar complexity.<br />
4. Experience in a multi-national federated organization with the ability to thrive<br />
5. Collaborating with others in a complex, matrix-structured, dynamic organizational environment.<br />
6. Ability to engage senior managers and board members in donor visits, and to earn and maintain their confidence<br />
7. Successful experience closing complex six-figure commitments including planned gifts, campaign and endowment gifts, and investment options<br />
8. Superior presentation skills, including the presence to deal effectively with diverse constituencies including principal donors, Board members, national staff and leadership in the field.<br />
9. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write and speak clearly and effectively, and to listen, and an unusual capacity to engage, inspire and persuade</p>

<p>Description:  The Associate Director of Prospect Research identifies new philanthropic opportunities among individuals, corporations and foundations, and investigates their potential to support the mission of Illinois Institute of Technology. The ideal candidate will have prior experience conducting prospect research in a non-profit setting and have excellent communication skills.<span id="more-262"></span>Job Responsibilities:</p>
<p>-     Conducts research reports on individual, foundation and corporate prospects for major, planned or principal gift cultivation and solicitation.</p>
<p>-     Utilizes such resources as public records, various on-line and print sources (i.e., Lexis/Nexus, Hoovers, university and library resources), and a variety of relationship mapping and wealth screening services to support research and analysis for fundraising efforts.</p>
<p>-     Mines the database of alumni, donors and friends with the intention of proactively and systematically identifying opportunities to strengthen and build new strategic relationships.</p>
<p>-     Proactively stays informed of current research and funding needs at IIT, as well as analyzing emerging trends in philanthropy from news dailies, trade journals, and other on-line sources to keep the Office of Institutional Advancement informed of current events that may impact fundraising efforts at IIT.</p>
<p>-     Maintains the accuracy and integrity of the database system by accurately recording and tracking prospective donor information.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<p>-     Bachelor&#8217;s degree required in a relevant field (e.g., journalism, English, business, or library science) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience in researching, and organizing and presenting information in a professional setting, with a proven record of success.</p>
<p>-     A minimum of 5-7 years in development/fundraising experience, including 3 years in prospect research.</p>
<p>Skills:</p>
<p>-     Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and electronic) required to work effectively with team members, other departments and the Office of the President.</p>
<p>-     Highly proficient in the use of a broad variety of print and online sources. Working knowledge of Blackbaud Analytics, Raiser&#8217;s Edge and Microsoft Office Suite is required.</p>
<p>-     Proficient in data mining.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Job:  Research and Stewardship Associate, San Francisco Ballet</p>
<p>Description:  Under supervision, the Research and Stewardship Associate provides detailed information, including but not limited to biographical information, wealth indicators, and philanthropic behavior, on potential funding sources.  In addition to his/her work for the development department, the Associate supplies the Ballet&#8217;s Nominating Committee with research on potential candidates for the Board of Trustees. While the Research and Stewardship Associate interacts with other members of the development team on a daily basis, the position is research and writing intensive. The Associate works with sensitive and confidential information on an ongoing basis. The Associate also fulfills stewardship responsibilities for major individual and institutional donors, including the production of accurate donor listings and recognition signage, to ensure that donors are appropriately acknowledged.<span id="more-255"></span></p>
<p>Essential Position Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Generates prospect profiles by conducting research on prospective and current donors, using up-to-date methodologies: researches linkages, financial capacity and interests. Brings prospects to the attention of appropriate development staff. As requested, prepares research on attendees for events. Proactively identifies new prospect research tools and resources for use by the Ballet.</li>
<li>Coordinates production of donor and sponsor listings and credits for print materials; produces signage, and electronic communications as needed.</li>
<li>Responsible for maintaining prospect research related content of the Ballet&#8217;s relational database, Tessitura. Uses Tessitura to facilitate prospect management through queries and reporting. Oversees consolidation of appropriate information from the Ballet&#8217;s research database, The Researcher&#8217;s Edge, with Tessitura.</li>
<li>Oversees research on potential candidates for the Board of Trustees and other leadership positions.</li>
<li>Conduct database reporting as requested by Director of Development Performs other duties as required or assigned by supervisor.</li>
</ul>
<p>Position Qualifications:</p>
<p>Education and Experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>College Degree</li>
<li>One-to-three years of related experience. Knowledge of prospect research techniques and database management. Familiarity with Bay Area philanthropy desired, but not mandatory.</li>
</ul>
<p>Professional/Technical Competencies:</p>
<ul>
<li>Utilizes and maintains up-to-date knowledge of the philosophy and practices of fund raising and prospect research.</li>
<li>Demonstrates technical efficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, flow chart and presentation software, on-line databases and Internet research techniques.</li>
<li>Maintains databases, files and paperwork that are readily accessible and understandable by others.</li>
<li>Demonstrates excellent communication skills, particularly in establishing a rapport with donors, volunteers, and staff via phone and personal contact.</li>
<li>Produces complete and accurate spreadsheets, correspondence, and reports in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Prioritizes work to effectively balance multiple assignments and demonstrate commitment to excellent internal and external customer service. Communicates scheduling conflicts to appropriate staff.</li>
<li>Demonstrates skill in writing and editing logical, detailed and analytical reports. Effectively and accurately reviews, edits, and proofs own and others&#8217; work using contemporary business grammar, punctuation and spelling rules to ensure consistency and clarity.</li>
<li>Effectively utilizes office equipment to perform duties in an efficient manner.</li>
<li>Demonstrates sound project management skills, including the ability to organize and manage multiple projects to meet required deadlines.</li>
<li>Effectively analyzes and evaluates multiple sources to identify those most likely to contain the information needed on a prospect or donor.</li>

<p>Founded in 1834, Wake Forest is a private, coeducational, residential university dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the liberal arts and in graduate and professional education. The University comprises two undergraduate institutions, Wake Forest College and the Wayne Calloway School of Business and Accountancy; the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences; and four professional schools: Law, Medicine, Divinity, and the Babcock Graduate School of Management. Overall enrollment averages 6,000 students. <p>In order to capitalize on the strengths of the University&#8217;s two Business Schools, a single Dean of Business, Steve Reinemund, was recently appointed. Dean Reinemund is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of PepsiCo. He is widely regarded as one of the nation&#8217;s most innovative business leaders.</p>
<p>Reporting to the Associate Vice President for University Development and working closely with the Dean, the Director of Development for the Business Schools will be responsible for directing the development operations of the Business Schools, which includes building a major gift program to increase gifts in the range of $100K &#8211; $500K and achieving a consistent $1M annual giving program. Candidates must have a Bachelor&#8217;s degree and 8-10 years experience. A preference will be given to those with an understanding and familiarity with the culture of Wake Forest University.</p>

<p>The Organization:  The Tahirih Justice Center (Tahirih) is a growing organization working to protect immigrant women and girls seeking justice in the United States from gender-based violence through legal services and public policy advocacy. Tahirih is a Bahá&#8217;í-inspired nonprofit organization that offers pro bono representation to women and girls seeking protection from gender-based human rights abuses such as domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, female genital mutilation, honor crimes, and forced marriage. Winner of the 2007 Washington Post Award for Excellence in Nonprofit Management, Tahirih has a staff of 27, and a budget of over $2 million. Tahirih is based in Falls Church, VA, and is in the process of expanding nationally, with an initial office opening in Houston in 2009. <span id="more-248"></span><br />
Position Summary:  Tahirih seeks to hire a full-time Director of Development to help Tahirih significantly increase its capacity to raise private funds, while continuing our focus on grant awards, major events and fundraising appeals. The Director of Development provides overall direction, coordination, and implementation of the organization&#8217;s national fundraising and communications operations, reports to the Executive Director, serves as a member of the management team, works directly with individual Board members and volunteers, and supervises three staff.</p>
<p>The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:<br />
· Minimum of five years of experience directing development efforts in a nonprofit organization<br />
· Minimum of three years of direct personnel management experience<br />
· A strong manager with a focus on producing results<br />
· An innovative strategic thinker with demonstrated success in the creation and implementation of development strategies<br />
· Demonstrated track record in designing and leading efforts to raise funds from major donors, including personally soliciting donors<br />
· Experience designing and managing fundraising events<br />
· Experience and track record in obtaining grants from foundations and government agencies<br />
· Willingness and ability to travel<br />
· Donor and volunteer service mentality<br />
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills<br />
· Conceptual skills and analytical capabilities<br />
· Energetic, organized leader and a team player<br />
· Strong commitment to Tahirih&#8217;s mission<br />
· Flexibility and a sense of humor</p>
<p>Annual salary and benefits:  Salary depends on experience. Benefits includes: 15 days of paid accrued vacation during the first year (20 days of vacation after the first year), additional week of vacation between Christmas and New Years, fully-paid health and dental insurance coverage, 403(b) plan, flex-spending account, in-house training programs, professional development stipend, and staff enrichment retreats.</p>

<p><strong>SUMMARY STATEMENT:</strong></p>
<p>The Director of Major Gifts provides leadership and direction to staff who seek to secure significant new and increased financial resources from individuals and family foundations in order to advance the mission of the Museum of Science.<span id="more-242"></span></p>
<p>The Director of Major Gifts will also help devise solicitation priorities for the President and oversee related communications between the Major Gifts team and the President&#8217;s Office.</p>
<p>The Director of Major Gifts will serve as a prospect manager for a prescribed donor caseload as well as coordinate with other Museum Advancement professionals to sustain and increase overall fund raising effectiveness.</p>
<p>This position reports to the Executive Director of Development.</p>
<p><strong>ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENTS:</strong></p>
<p>1. Oversees and manages all aspects of donor and funder relationships of $50,000 and higher. Provides the preparation of written materials &#8211; letters, proposals, briefing documents &#8211; associated with major gift donor/funder relationships.</p>
<p>2.	Supervises two Senior Development Officers; serves as mentor and leader for the program.</p>
<p>3. Responsible for developing increased levels of involvement and support among donors and prospects through regular correspondence and contacts in person, by telephone, mail, alone and in conjunction with the Museum&#8217;s Senior Staff, Trustees and other volunteers.</p>
<p>4. Responsible for developing budget, goals, and performance measures for expanding the major gifts program, with a goal to achieve 150-200 personal contacts per year with donors and prospects.</p>
<p>5. Oversees a comprehensive cultivation tracking system for all major and planned gift donors and prospects. Ensures the integrity of donor and prospect files and database as they relate to major gifts.</p>
<p>6. Develops a two-year rolling plan for the Museum of Science&#8217;s Major Gift Program, including formulating fiscal year projections with quarterly monitoring of progress.</p>
<p>7. Works with the Senior Vice President of Advancement and the Executive Director of Development to ensure that Senior Development Officers know the Museum&#8217;s fund-raising priorities.</p>
<p>8. Oversees the recruitment of volunteers to participate in cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of major gift prospects and donors.</p>
<p>9. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Development, the Stewardship Coordinator, and Senior Development Officers, assures that all major donors will have an appropriate stewardship plan in place and fully implemented.</p>
<p>10. Works closely with the Executive Director of Development and Special Events Office on effective donor cultivation and recognition activities and events.</p>
<p>11. Plans for the development of planned and major gifts communication through existing or new publications, brochures, media releases or letter communication.</p>
<p>12. Participates in the overall planning and execution of a comprehensive capital campaign for the Museum of Science</p>
<p>13.	Collaborates with the Director of Prospect Research to set priorities for the research program.</p>
<p>14.	Abides by the standards of ethics and best practices as defined by the Association of Fund Raising Professionals.</p>
<p>15.	Performs other duties as assigned.</p>
<h2>Qualifications:</h2>
<p>*A mature and disciplined self starter, able to set objectives, activate plans and manage performance in Major Gifts fund raising.</p>
<p>*Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage donors and funders and build long-term relationships. Proven success in soliciting and closing major gifts at the six and seven-figure level with major donors and funders.</p>
<p>*Capital Campaign management and experience highly desirable.</p>
<p>*A motivated team player who can engage and inspire fellow executives, staff, and volunteer leaders.</p>
<p>*Outstanding written and personal communication skills and attention to detail.</p>
<p>*Bachelor&#8217;s degree and a minimum of 7 to 10 years of progressively responsible direct fund raising experience within the Major Gifts arena.</p>
<p>*Flexibility, creativity and a sense of humor highly valued.</p>

<p>Position Description:  The American Indian College Fund (the Fund), a national, non-profit organization headquartered in Denver, Colorado, is seeking a Director of Foundation Relations. Created in 1989 to support the nation&#8217;s tribal colleges, the American Indian College Fund transforms Indian higher education by funding and creating awareness of the unique, community-based accredited Tribal Colleges and Universities, offering students<br />
access to knowledge, skills, and cultural values which enhance their communities and the country as a whole.<span id="more-238"></span></p>
<p>Position Summary:  This position is responsible for raising a specified amount each year from foundation donors. Direct the design and creation of strategies, proposals and materials to prospect for and approach new and continuing sources. Oversee all aspects of internal and external communications. Direct and oversee all activities of foundations fundraising staff.</p>
<p>Essential Functions/Responsibilities:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> Formulate strategies, develop and implement annual plans to raise funds for scholarships, endowments, general operating support and program grants from new, current and lapsed donors.  These sources are primarily from independent, private foundations, and include funders such as family foundations, trusts and donor advised funds.</li>
<li> Direct and oversee department activities and plans for foundations fundraising staff. Analyzes interim project activity and financial reports to determine compliance, progress, and potential challenges. Recommends and tracks corrective action with project grants.</li>
<li> Develop and maintain professional relationships with all major foundations (i.e. W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, Lilly Endowment, Inc., etc.)</li>
<li> Review and ensure accuracy of interim and final reports on project grants for donors.</li>
<li> Responsible for the cultivation and submission of three to four foundation grants totaling $200,000 or more each on an annual basis.</li>
<li> Work closely with directors and team lead of Fund departments to coordinate fundraising, research and reporting efforts.</li>
<li> Oversee creation and distribution of specialized communications materials internally and externally (general proposal templates, foundation mailings, grant press releases, specialized program reports, etc.)</li>
<li> Monitor grant processing, including submission of applications, reports and other information requested/required by donors.</li>
<li> Provide written and verbal reports (monthly and quarterly) to management and the Board regarding results of fundraising efforts.</li>
<li> Responsible for the overall creation and management of Foundation department budget.</li>
<li> Develop additional opportunities for support in programmatic areas (overall needs of the tribal colleges). Primary focus will be on general scholarship disbursement.</li>
<li> Assist the foundations fundraising team in writing and submission of funding proposals to local and national private funding sources.</li>
<li> Responsible for training and offering appropriate growth opportunities to Foundations team staff.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> Bachelor&#8217;s degree in a related field or equivalent and at least four years experience in fundraising, grant writing and resource development; Master&#8217;s degree desired.</li>
<li> Understanding of national philanthropic sector.</li>
<li> Demonstrated experience with grant writing, development of annual fundraising plans, including results in fundraising with proven track record.</li>
<li> Experience/knowledge of funding sources (public and private), fundraising (including non-profit) and grantsmanship.</li>
<li> Demonstrated experience working with diverse cultures. Experience in higher education and familiarity with tribal colleges and American Indian culture, education and communities desired.</li>
<li> Knowledgeable about computer systems and donor software, particularly Microsoft Office and Raiser&#8217;s Edge experience desired.</li>
<li> Exemplary writing, communication, and project management skills essential.</li>
<li> Knowledge of grant program management.</li>
<li> Strong organizational skills, with ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Successfully operate under time pressure, work in and lead teams to accomplish tasks.</li>
<li> Ability to take initiative to solve challenges, and to work with organizational teams to support fundraising efforts.</li>
<li> Supervisory experience.</li>
<li> Expected to travel extensively to meet with donors and for other Fund related activities.</li>
<li> Strong customer service and proactive leadership skills.</li>
<li> May be required to work some evenings and weekends.</li>
<li> Must show proof of insurance, current valid driver&#8217;s license and possess good driving record.</li>
<li> Must be a positive person and committed to the mission of the Fund.</li>
</ul>
<p>Other Duties and Responsibilities:</p>

<li> Assist other development, projects and scholarship teams as necessary.</li>
<li> Personal characteristics sought include initiative, discretion, mature judgment, positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit.</li>

<p>Job Description:  The American Indian College Fund (the Fund) is a national, non-profit organization headquartered in Denver, Colorado is seeking a Director of Resource Development and Direct Mail. Created in 1989 to support the nation&#8217;s tribal colleges, the American Indian College Fund transforms Indian higher education by funding and creating awareness of the unique, community-based accredited Tribal Colleges and Universities, offering students access to knowledge, skills, and cultural values which enhance their communities and the country as a whole.<span id="more-235"></span></p>
<p>Position Summary:  The Director of Resource Development (the Director) must be a creative, entrepreneurial selfstarter who is results oriented and committed to working as part of a team. This position is responsible for providing leadership and management of the direction, planning, and execution of all resource development related activities of the Fund. This includes, but is not limited to, the direct mail program, special events, major donor and planned giving, donor advised fund program, corporate, foundation, and tribal resource development. Responsibilities include supervising the development staff and working closely with Board members, the CEO and the COO to achieve annual resource development goals. The Director should provide structure and strategic thought to resource development, creating a significant impact on the Fund&#8217;s success in achieving its annual and long-term revenue goals.</p>
<p>Principal Duties and Responsibilities:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> Manage all aspects of the direct mail/marketing program including, but not limited to, the relationship with the consultants and vendors, the creative strategy and messaging, project management of each appeal, strategic analysis and planning of appeal segmentation plans and acquisition lists, and oversee acknowledgement process. In addition provide critical analysis and reporting of revenues and expenses and of the number of responses to acquisitions and renewals for the overall program, by appeal, by segments, and by acquisition lists.</li>
<li> Work collaboratively with Public Education and Communications team on marketing plan that promotes resource development efforts and to dovetail with direct marketing campaigns and messaging.</li>
<li> Work collaboratively with the Donor Database Manager to ensure effective utilization of the donor database, including the creation of reports that will be used to support and analyze resource development efforts.</li>
<li> Work collaboratively with the Program and Scholarship teams to assess the needs of the tribal colleges and universities and their students to enhance and strategically focus resource development efforts.</li>
<li> Manage a process of effective communication between the Resource Development teams and the Program and Scholarship teams to ensure the appropriate stewardship of restricted donations.</li>
<li> Manage and provide structure and accountability to all strategies and activities for donor prospecting, cultivation, solicitation, and relations.</li>
<li> Strategically plan and oversee the coordination of special events and tribal college tours to promote awareness of the Fund, the tribal colleges and universities and their students, to recognize and show appreciation to donors, and to support resource development efforts.</li>
<li> Work collaboratively with the CEO, COO and Resource Development teams to determine annual and long-term resource development objectives. Create and manage a plan that meets annual and long-term resource development objectives.</li>
<li> Periodically (no less than annually) review the Gift Acceptance Policy and recommend appropriate amendments to the Board.</li>
<li> Assume responsibility for all development reports to the Board and plan and lead all Program and Resource Development Committee meetings.</li>
<li> Develop and implement resource development training and tools for Board members and others who would like to support the Fund&#8217;s resource development efforts.</li>
<li> Create and provide monthly reports to management on resource development activities and status.</li>
<li> Proactively participate on the Fund&#8217;s Leadership Team.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> Minimum &#8211; Bachelor&#8217;s degree.</li>
<li> Minimum five years of full-time progressive resource development experience, including three years of development director experience.</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a resource development program</li>
<li> Maintains a high standard of professionalism and ethics and demonstrates constructive leadership behavior.</li>
<li> Ability to travel extensively for the Fund to donor meetings, events, conferences, etc</li>
</ul>

<p>Location:  New York, New York</p>
<p>The Organization:  Equal Justice USA (EJUSA) is a national leader in the movement to end the death penalty and has been at the forefront of many of the nation&#8217;s most successful anti-death penalty efforts in recent years. EJUSA began in 1990 as a grassroots program of the Quixote Center, a multi-issue, constituent-based social justice organization located in Maryland. In July 2008, we spun off from the Quixote Center to form an independent 501c3 based in New York City.<span id="more-231"></span></p>
<p>Position Description:  Equal Justice seeks its first Director of Development. Reporting to the Executive Director, he or she will build the development team as the program grows.</p>
<p>This is a wonderful opportunity for a creative, highly motivated, development professional to build a real development program from the ground up.</p>
<p>With an $800K budget, Equal Justice is currently dependent on a few large grants. The Director of Development will be the organization&#8217;s &#8220;one-person development shop,&#8221; with a primary emphasis on diversifying the funding beyond those grants and building an individual donor base, including both large and small donors.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Job:  Executive Director of Advancement and Institutional Support Services, University of California, Riverside</p>
<p>Essential Functions:   The Executive Director of Advancement and Institutional Support Services provides technical and administrative leadership in the areas of Advancement and related institutionally focused advancement systems, technical services, user support, analysis, technical project management, and database management. S/he provides support for the development of business requirements and the analysis of data. S/he oversees gift administration and biographical data policies, procedures, processing, and reporting services. S/he also performs special management projects, as assigned by the Vice Chancellor, requiring advanced skills and specialized knowledge. <span id="more-227"></span></p>
<p>The incumbent functions as the chief technology officer for the Division of University Advancement and collaborates with the campus Associate Vice Chancellor for Computing and Communications on systems pertinent to the campus wide advancement environment. S/he plays a leadership role in developing University Advancement&#8217;s technical vision and strategic technology plans, ensuring that systems and processes run smoothly and that Advancement and campus staff have the technical tools needed to do their jobs effectively. This includes providing executive and technical leadership for the Division&#8217;s large-scale information technology infrastructure initiatives, ensuring the integrity, security, interoperability and cost-effectiveness of the Division&#8217;s overall technology infrastructure, and providing advice to the Vice Chancellor and units on infrastructure issues, projects, budgets, options, and the impacts of decisions. The projects that the incumbent oversees have immediate and long-term implications for the Division and related campus units, and must be coordinated with these units and other offices within the Division.</p>
<p>Specific areas of responsibility include:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> Overseeing University Advancement&#8217;s alumni/donor and financial databases.</li>
<li> Ensuring that gift and biographical data are entered consistently, accurately, and in accordance with Federal and State laws, campus and UC regulations, and best practices.</li>
<li> Overseeing hiring, promotions, training, and evaluation of staff in the department.</li>
<li> Developing and managing the Advancement Services budget, and helping other Advancement units budget for technical equipment, expertise, and projects.</li>
<li> Overseeing data stewardship, integrity, and security for the division and its interface with the campus.</li>
<li> Ensuring the efficient flow of management reporting from the constituent database.</li>
<li> Overseeing the development and implementation of policies and procedure related to biographical data entry, gift processing and administration, and the confidentiality of constituent information.</li>
<li> Ensuring that University Advancement&#8217;s technological operations are efficient, effective, and consistent with best practices.</li>
<li> Developing and disseminating technology solutions and services that support end-user self-service.</li>
<li> Making technical recommendations on the Division&#8217;s online activities including its web presence, online communities, social networks, online fundraising, and email marketing.</li>
<li> Managing end-user technical support and training.</li>
<li> Overseeing the development and production of reports from the constituent database.</li>
<li> As assigned by the Vice Chancellor, serving as the project manager for a variety of complex technical initiatives.</li>
</ul>
<p>Minimum Requirements:</p>
<ul class="unIndentedList">
<li> A minimum of 6 years management experience in an advancement technology focused department, preferably in a higher education environment.</li>
<li> Experience developing and managing a departmental budget.</li>
<li> Experience evaluating complex issues, identifying appropriate solutions, costs, and required resources, negotiating agreement on a course of action, and providing leadership in implementing the chosen approach.</li>
<li> Knowledge of the principles and practices of gift processing and administration.</li>
<li> Demonstrated knowledge of alumni relations, fundraising, advancement services, and marketing and media relations.</li>
<li> Demonstrated understanding of the types of information systems used to collect, disseminate, and report data in support of the advancement efforts of a complex organization.</li>
<li> Ability to function at an executive level within a complex institution.</li>
<li> A strong customer services ethic.</li>
<li> Hired applicant must successfully pass a background check through the Department of Justice.</li>
</ul>

<li> Advanced degree and/or equivalent experience in the area of technology or information management.</li>
<li> Demonstrated skill in written and oral communication, including the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences.</li>
<li> Excellent interpersonal skills and political astuteness.</li>
<li> Ability to use discretion, exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and maintain strict confidentiality.</li>
